Last month we discussed the scientific reasons why passengers should drink tomatoes juice on the plane. We disclosed to you that it is approximately 30% difficult to detect salty and tastes on board. So today we are going to look into what a world travel expert has to say concerning eating food on the plane.
Some frequent travellers said that they are ready to eat whatever they want to eat either before or after the flight but can never eat aboard. One may ask WHY? Aside from the fact that some passengers complain that the food served onboard was bad, bland and lot more, the real reason why passengers should skit meal aboard is because of JET LAG.
One of the world travel experts Melissa Biggs Bradley, the founder of Luxury travel firm Indagare, reviewed to Bloomberg some travel secrets and tips she has acquired as a frequent traveller. Mellissa said that flight attendants do not eat anything at all. The only thing they do is to stay hydrated by drinking enough water. The reason why flight attendants do not eat on the plane is because the digestive system seems to slow down at high-altitude. That means, whatsoever thing you eat at high-altitude takes time to digest and that will make you weak and tired.

Melissa Biggs Bradley who has experienced it said. I eat nothing on flights. I’ve talked to a lot of stewardesses about it, and it’s a stewardess secret. Ten years ago, it was [a cabin crew member] on Singapore Airlines on what was, at the time, the longest flight in the world (17 hours from Singapore to New York). She told me that her tried-and-true trick was not eating in-flight. Basically, at super high altitude, your digestive system shuts down completely. Someone said to me it’s like being under anesthesia. So when you get off the plane, everything restarts and [your digestive system] has so much more work to do and so it makes you more tired.
The Aviation industry is filled with lots of secrets and tricks. I would advise you take few minutes of your time when next you travel to chat with flight attendants, airport staff, pilots etc. There are tricks and secret you would learn from them that would be vital for you.
