I am just trying to imagine how you reacted the moment you enter your Arik air booking reference code and surname under the mange bookings on the website in other to see you booking and you saw the error (s) occurred response “PNR not found” or “PNR Canceled” and the page automatically returns to the homepage.
Assuming you booked the ticket through an agent, I know you would conclude that the agent scammed you. It’s not funny at all.
As you know, we book flight tickets for people too. One of the passengers I booked Arik Air called me one day and said she was unable to check her booking. She got an error response. In fact, from the tune of her voice, one can tell that she thinks I scammed her.
You can also get the error response when you miss your flight and the ticket enters no show. If you try to check your booking, you will get PNR Canceled response.
One of the main things that we have identified so far that is the major cause of this error response is when the airline makes a change in the ticket. For instance when the airline changes the travel time of your ticket or canceled a flight scheduled. Automatically, passengers will not be able to view ticket again.
Before you conclude, make sure you cross check the PNR and Surname to be sure you are using the correct one. If you use your first name in the place of surname, you will get an error response “PNR not found”.
If you find yourself in a situation like this, no need to panic, contact your travel agent (you can contact us) to rebook the flight or contact the airline (Arik Air) to reactivate your ticket. In the case of a no-show, a penalty fee of NGN 3,000 (as at the time of publishing this article) will be added by the airline. If there is a fare difference, get ready to pay for the difference.
I hope this helps you.
