Almost everyone is asking if they can travel to Dubai from another nearby or neighbouring countries like Togo, Cotonou, Benin Republic, Accra, Ghana etc. since flights from Nigeria to Dubai is suspended.
The Cost Of Travelling From Ghana
The answer is yes, you can travel but be ready to spend more money and time in the nearby country you want to use. Nigerians are travelling to Dubai through other neighbouring countries like Ghana, Cotonou, Togo etc. but before you will be allowed to travel, there must be an existing stamp from Nigeria on your passport. The exit date must not be less than 14 days.
When Emirates suspended flights from Nigeria, they said, Passengers who have been to or connected through Nigeria in the last 14 days are not allowed entry into the UAE (whether terminating in or connecting through Dubai.
What this simply means is that if a passenger stays in Nigeria for more than 14 days, the passenger will not be allowed to enter the United Arab Emirates. For those that want to travel through another country, you must travel to the country, stay there for more than 14 days then travel from there to Dubai.
How To Travel To Dubai Through Other Countries.
Before your 14 days will count, you must travel via air that is you must use flight. When you arrive in the country, your passport will be stamped. Your passport will have the exist stamp from Nigeria and another entry stamp from the neighbouring country.
For instance, if you want to travel through Ghana, you will fly from Nigeria to Ghana then stay in Ghana for 14 days before you will travel from Ghana to Dubai. Your passport will be stamped at both Nigeria airport (exit stamp) and Ghana airport (entry stamp).
If you travel by road or water, your passport will not be stamped. This means the only way to stamp your passport is to travel by air.
Does it worth it or you should just wait for the issues to be resolved.
