Among the numerous Tourist attractions we have in Nigeria, Obudu Mountain Resort is one of the outstanding attractions. Obudu Mountain Resort which is located in a tourist haven state, Calabar, Cross River state is not a new attraction. Obudu Mountain Resort is situated at the 11 km Obudu plateau and houses numerous tourist attractions ranging from cable cab which is the second longest in Africa to the unique climate and landscape.
The canopy walkway is another interesting place to experience in Obudu. Obudu mountain resort which is a home of many natural attractions also has a natural swimming pool and a mini waterfall. Among the numerous attractions, the holy mountain in Obudu mountain resort remains one of the must-see on the mountain.
The Holy Mountain
Lots of things have been said about the Holy Mountain. Some believe especially the locals that praying at the mountain is the fastest place to hear from God. They also believe that all prayers and supplication rendered on the mountain must be answered. Rumour has it that when the former president of Nigeria Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan won the 2011 presidential election, he ran to the Holy Mountain, Obudu mountain resort. I guess for Thanksgiving or something similar to that.
Apart from praying and other religious activity, the holy mountain is the perfect spot to view the Obudu mountain resort and the plateau. Tourist can comfortably see the Nigeria-Cameroun border from the mountain.
Tboss Encounter
Like you all know, the Obudu holy mountain is one of the places tourist can visit either to communicate with their God or to have a better view of the Obudu plateau. Last week we reported that some top Nollywood actors are in Obudu mountain resort filming a movie titled “OMAMBALA”. Despite their busy schedule from rehashing, shooting, and all other activities, they still find time to explore the beautiful Obudu and of cause the holy mountain.
The Big Bother Naija season 2 finalist, Tboss Idowu popular known as Tboss narrated her encounter with God on the Holy Mountain via her Instagram account.
She started by narrating how they told her about the wonders of the holy mountain and what the villages (the residents of Obudu) believe about the mountain. She was told that God answers prayers on the mountain and as a believer she has to go and pour her out her heart to God. It was a mind-blowing experience as she thanked the movie producer for counting her worthy to be among the movie casts.
Up on the Holy Mountain in Obudu cattle ranch. We were told that the Locals believe that prayers are answered here so, of course, we had to come up here and offer our prayers & supplications to God and ohhh what a Beautiful Out of this world experience it was.

Hallelujah! She made it to the holy mountain and had a lifetime encounter with God. She saw so many unexplainable things. According to her, she saw something like Blessed Virgin Mary, Heaven Pathway and a guard at the gate. Read what she said.
I have a confession. Whilst we were up here on the Holy mountain, I had an Encounter. Yes, I did! I saw something. I have NO idea what it was but it was a Celestial form. It was in the form of The Blessed Virgin Mary & it was gorgeous. The crazy thing is I could see it perfectly but no one else could! Like yoooo, it’s right there how can you not see it? 😇 .
Anyways, we, yes we @simplysorrentino did see some sort of Heaven’s pathway & gate l kid you not & some sort of form like a Guard at the gate up in the cloud on this Holy mountain. I know I know it sounds unbelievable but it is True. I believe in God, I mean my life is a living testimony of his love & existence & so I just had to share my beautiful encounter with Y’all.
