Nigeria Railway workers in Kaduna have suspended the 5-day warning strike. The Train workers in Kaduna joined other government workers in Kaduna to protest against the government over the mass disengagement of workers.
The industrial action disrupted the train movement from Kaduna to Abuja. Passengers that were scheduled to travel on Monday, May 17, 2021, were forced to use another means of transportation or cancelled their trip due to the strike.
Our team at Sagetravels has been monitoring the situation in Kaduna to know when the train will resume operation. From our findings, the train will restart normal scheduled services from May 21, 2021.
According to the statement on the train website, all passengers that their trip was affected by the strike have the grace of 2 weeks to change their ticket.
Following the strike call off by NLC, ALL passengers with tickets for 17/05/21 should kindly contact customercare@tps.ng or 09088739711 to reschedule their trips. This exercise will commence from 21st of May 2021 for a period of 2 weeks till the 5th of June after which such tickets will become INVALID. Kindly note that passengers are required to give 48hrs notice before the date of the scheduled trip and that Wednesdays are EXEMPTED.
Refund Option
Nigeria Railways Commission does not refund money after payment.
Currently, NRC has a NO REFUND policy.
This means if you’re not travelling again, you may not get a refund and the money you paid for your ticket will go just like that.
Can I change the Ticket Name or Transfer it To Another Passenger?
I know you will be looking for who will buy your ticket but unfortunately, the name on a ticket cannot be changed. If someone carries an ID card or any means of identification that matches the name on the ticket, the person will be allowed to travel with the ticket.
