The federal government has done well by making it easy and simple for passengers to book Abuja to Kaduna train. There are different channels for the booking and one is by using the “Nigerian Railway Corporation Mobile App”. Another method is by booking using the dedicated website.

Step One
Download the Nigerian Railway Corporation Mobile App.
The first thing to do is to download the mobile App. The app is available for both Android and Apple users. You can search for the App in the play or Apple store using “Nigerian Railway Corporation Mobile App” or click the link here. Scroll down, you will see the banner for Android and Apple. Select the one that matches your phone.
Go to the store, download and install the App.
Step Two
Open an Account
If the installation was successful, sign up with your personal and contact details. Don’t forget your email and password. You will need log in details to get your ticket later.
Step Three
Book A Train
After Opening an account, log in into your account. For those that do not know the train station that is closer to their location, you can use the app to check the nearest station. You can check for routes and do other kinds of stuff there.
Since you want to book a train, click on the “Book Ticket” button. Click on “Book New Ticket”. If you have booked before, you can click on “Booked Ticket” to retrieve the ticket.
Step Four
Select Route
When the page opens, select the station you want to depart from (e.g Idu) and your destination (where you’re going e.g Rigasa).
Select date – You can only book for today or tomorrow. You cannot select next tomorrow or any other date aside today and tomorrow.
Select the number of passengers that your booking for – you can only select a minimum of 1 passenger and a maximum of 2 passengers at a booking.
The app gives you the privilege to select the number f passengers that are going, unlike the website that does not have an option for that. although, you can book for two passengers on the website.
Step Five
Select Train Time and The Class Of Service
Select the train time and the class of service you want. In this page, the train schedule will display. The train service is 4 times daily except on Wednesday.
Select the time you want to depart and a class of service. The class of service can either be Economy or VIP (business). The VIP price is higher than the economy. So, chose wisely.
Click on proceed to enter another step.
Step Six
Select a Seat
It’s time to select where you want to seat on the train. The train sitting arrangement will display. Some seats are either booked or blocked because of covid-19. Kindly select the available seats.
The train is divided into coaches. If a coach is fully booked, select a seat another coach. Click proceed to payment.
Step Seven
Fill passenger’s details and type of passenger.
In this page, you will select the passenger name. If your travelling, confirm your name and contact details. If you’re booking the ticket for another person, click on the “others” button. Filling in the passenger’s name and other details required.
There are 3 types of passengers. We have the Adult, Minor and someone with a special need.
The price of a ticket varies according to the type of passenger. An adult pays the full fare, Minors pay almost 70% of adult fare and People with special needs, pay less almost half of adult fare.
Step Eight
Make Payment
You have 15 minutes to make payment. The reservations will cancel after 15 minutes. Bring out your card to make the payment. After payment, you will be redirected back to the app.
Step Nine
Get Your Ticket
If the booking was successful, click on the “Booked Ticket” button to retrieve your booked ticket.
To print the ticket, you have to log in on the website. You can print there or download it as a PDF.
