The gTeam dream is turning into reality as the airline receives the second of the three aircraft leased from ACIA Aero Leasing. The second aircraft with registration number ZS-ESS/5N-GAA arrived at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at 5:40 pm on Friday, 15 May.
It was double the excitement as the gTeam received our second aircraft today. The aircraft with registration ZS-ESS/5N-GAA touched down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at exactly 5:40 pm Nigeria time.

The first of the three aircraft leased by Green Africa Airways from ACIA Aero Leasing arrived at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on Friday 23rd April 2021at 6:15 pm Nigeria time.
Sharing more moments from the arrival of our first aircraft into Lagos. The warm welcome ceremony included a water cannon salute and was attended by the Founding gTeam, Investors and members of the gFlyer Community.
The aircraft was welcomed by the founding gTeam, Investors and members of the gFlyer Community. Also, the fire service department was on the ground to welcome the aircraft with the traditional water salute.

Green Africa 3rd aircraft have been prepared to arrive in Nigeria. Green Africa is doing the finishing touch for the air operator certification. The airline will soon commence demonstration flights to all the destinations they are planning to start operations.
Green Africa Destinations
Green Africa Airways has unveiled the first seven (7) destinations they will be starting flight operations. The first seven destinations are Lagos, Abuja, Ilorin, Akure, Owerri, Enugu and Portharcourt. Lagos Airport will serve as Green Africa Airways hub.
The 50 Airbus A220s Green Africa Ordered
February 2020, Green Africa Airways signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus for 50 A220s aircraft. No update yet on the aircraft order. So far, Green African has not confirmed the order.

Maybe the 50 Airbus A220s aircraft Green Africa ordered will be for the future when the airline expand its network while the ATR 72s leased from ACIA Aero Leasing will be used by the airline to start operation as soon as possible as they wait for the Airbus order.
