According to the Special Assistant to the Governor of Ebonyi State, Mr Francis Nwaze, the Ebonyi state international airport will soon be completed and ready for us.
In a Facebook post made by Mr Francis Nwaze, some of the structures on the airport construction site are complete while some are under construction.
Some of the completed projects are the Airport road, gatehouse, fire service station, police station, taxiway, parking space, and the workers’ quarters. The control tower, terminal building, Apron, and the Airport hanger are still under construction.
Superb: Ebonyi State International Airport is speedily getting to its completion stage. The Governor of Ebonyi State and Presidential Hopeful, Engr. David Umahi, FNSE, FNATE was at the Aiport site today to ascertain the level of completion and ensure that quality is not compromised.
As of today, 3.1 km of the active runway is completed while the safety area of the runway is speedily ongoing. From the pictures, the Airport road, gatehouse, fire service station, police station, taxiway, parking space, and the workers’ quarters are ready while the control tower, terminal building, Apron, and the Airport hanger are about 70% completed.
We are optimistic that the Airport will be fully completed and commercial activities commenced in a matter of weeks.
When completed, the Ebonyi state international airport will connect Ebonyi state to the rest of the world.
