The Ebonyi State international airport dream is gradually turning into a reality. The airport construction which started in2019 is taking shape.
Pictures shared by the Special Assistant to Ebonyi State Governor on Media and Publicity, Francis Nwaze shows that all the construction works and buildings are going on concurrently.
According to Francis Nwaze, the Ebonyi state airport runway which is constructed with 1ft concrete pavement will last more than 50 years. Francis Nwaze added that the airport will be among the best airport in Nigeria both in terms of quality of service delivery and size.
Mr Francis Nwaze photos reviewed the runway, taxiway, apron, terminal building, control tower, hangar, parking space work in progress.
Ebonyi State International Airport is speedily becoming a reality. The runway, taxiway, apron, terminal building, control tower, hangar, parking space are all simultaneously going on as can be seen in the picture attached. The Airport Runway is constructed with 1 ft concrete pavement and promises to last beyond 50 years. At the Airport completion, it will comfortably compete for the Best Airport in the country, both in size and quality delivery of services. After the Ebonyi airport, the world will know that an international airport has been built in Ebonyi by an Engineer Governor – Engr. David Umahi, FNSE, FNATE.
What You Should Know About Ebonyi State International Airport
- When completed, Ebonyi State airport will be the 4th airport in the South East of Nigeria.
- When the airport starts operations, the workers will be mostly Ebonyi State indigenes and some expatriates.
- The airport will complement the Ebonyi State mall and the new stadium.
- It will also be used to transport Ebonyi state goods to other states and countries.
