The Dubai Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management has announced ease on the restriction of inbound travel protocol for Nigeria, India and South Africa.
According to the Dubai Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, the new rule will take effect from June 23, 2021. The committee stresses that the new rule is part of their effort to protect the health and wellbeing of everyone.
Headed by @sheikhmansoor, the Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management in #Dubai announces updates to Dubai’s travel protocols for inbound passengers from South Africa, Nigeria and India, effective from Wednesday 23 June 2021.
The updates are part of the Committee’s keenness to protect passengers and ease hassles for them without compromising on COVID-19 precautionary measures put in place to safeguard everyone’s health and wellbeing.
The new Dubai Protocol Rules
South African and Indian travellers are expected to have received two doses of a vaccine approved by the UAE authorities. Passengers from the three countries must present a negative PCR test taken 48 hours before flight time. These and more are the new update by the United Arab Emirates authorities.
New Rules For Passengers Travelling From Nigeria to Dubai
- Passengers must have received a negative test result for a PCR test taken within 48 hours before departure; UAE citizens exempted.
- Passengers should present a negative PCR test certificate with a QR Code from labs approved by the Nigerian government.
- All passengers must undergo a PCR test on arrival at Dubai Airport.
- Transit passengers should comply with entry protocols of final destinations.

New Rules For Passengers Travelling From India to Dubai
- Passengers should have received two doses of a vaccine approved by the UAE authorities.
- Passengers must have received a negative test result for a PCR test taken within 48 hours before departure; UAE citizens exempted.
- Only QR coded PCR test result certificate are c=accepted.
- All passengers should take a rapid PCR test 4 hours before flight departure.
- All passengers must undergo a PCR test on arrival at Dubai Airport.
- Passengers should undergo institutional quarantine until they receive PCR text result which is expected within 24 hours; UAE citizens and diplomate are exempted.
Emirates airline has confirmed that the airline will start flight operations from June 2023.
