After 2 years, the United Arab Emirates government has finally removed the UAE visa restriction placed on Nigerians.
The visa ban was lifted after the meeting between Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu, and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The United Arab Emirates embassy introduced a new visa verification process for all Nigerian applicants.
“All Nigerian applicants for UAE visas are required to first obtain a Document Verification Number. This essential step is to be completed by visiting the dedicated online Document Verification Hub platform (official link https://documentverficationhub.com,” the UAE Embassy said.”
The introduction of the Document Verification Number will enhance the integrity of the application process and ensure prompt processing for applicants according to the United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Nigeria, Saleem Saeed Al-Shamsi.
Recall that Emirates Airlines also suspended flight operations to and from Nigeria due to their inability to repatriate their $85 million trapped in Nigeria since October 2022.
