To ensure the success of Dubai Expo 2020 which is set to start in the last quarter of this year 2021, the United Arab Emirates are planning to remove the Covid-19 restrictions and protocols.
The United Arab Emirates Authorities are already relaxing covid-19 restrictions. In Dubai, all the people vaccinated (both visitors and residents) can now attend public functions and events like music concerts etc.
In the next month, starting from May 17, 2021, activities will be allowed in a public place like a café, restaurant etc.
In Abu Dhabi, covid-19 restrictions will be removed from July 1. Business owners in Abu Dhabi believe that the gradual removal of covid-19 restrictions in the United Arab Emirates capital will boost business and economic activities.
According to Mohamed Jassim Al Rais, deputy managing director of Alrais Group, he said, if restrictions are removed from July 1st, it means things are under control.
“Abu Dhabi’s decision to remove Covid-19 restrictions from July 1 is a very good sign because the UAE capital is very strict when it comes to the pandemic. So if Abu Dhabi opens up, it means things are very much under control,”
The managing director of Wizz Air, Abu Dhabi, Kees van Schaick, said that the airline will utilize its four aircraft as soon as the restrictions are removed. He believes that the removal of the Covid-19 restrictions will increase air travellers.
“Opening up of Abu Dhabi is great news and that means, from July 1, we will build our network to fully utilise our four aircraft. If all goes well, we’ll be adding aircraft next year so that we can further expand our network… We see a huge change by the end of the year in terms of opening up of countries, as compared to today,” he said.
The covid-19 situation in Dubai
Recall that Dubai was among the first cities in the world to open its door for international visitors. Unlike other countries, Dubai has not shut down because of covid-19. The authorities are working round the clock to ensure that everyone is safe by prioritizing the health and safety of everyone.
