In line with the United Arab Emirates authority directives on suspension flight from Nigeria, Air Peace has suspended all from Lagos, Nigeria to Sharjah/Dubai until 28th Of February 2021.
The suspension of Nigerians by the United Arab Emirates is part of its measure on COVID-19. The suspension is only affecting flights from Nigeria to Dubai. All flight from the United Arab Emirates to Nigeria stand as scheduled. That is to say Sharjah/Dubai to Lagos is not affected by the suspension.
Within this period, the United Arab Emirates Nationals can travel from Lagos to Sharjah. The suspension does not affect UAE Nationals passengers. Other passengers are advised to wait until 28th of February when normal flight activities will resume.
A memo from Air Peace reads:
Following the memo as received today being the 11th of Feb 2021 from the Dubai Airport Authority, suspending all direct and indirect flight operations with passenger arrivals from Nigeria into the United Arab Emirates Airports for a period of two weeks.
We write to inform you that the flight out from Lagos – Sharjah and Sharjah – Lagos for the 12th/13th and 19th/20th of Feb 2021 will still be operating. That is to say that the Dubai flight operations for the next two weeks will only be on Fridays (One Weekly Operation)
Passengers permitted to travel out from Lagos to Sharjah on these dates are only the UAE Nationals.
Also, note that the outbound passengers out from Sharjah are not affected by this decision. All passengers will be accepted on the flight out from Sharjah.
A further update will be communicated as soon as there is a review of this decision by the Dubai Airport Authority.
