Some of the countries within the Ecowas community are not accepting the Ecowas Travel Certificate. The travel certificate was supposed to allow nationals of the Countries that are signatories to the ECOWAS Treaty to travel within the Ecowas without restrictions/Visas.
Below is the list of countries that do not accept the Ecowas Travel Certificate.
◦ 1. Guinea
◦ 2. Mail
◦ 3. Senegal
◦ 4. Sierra-Leone
◦ 5. Cape Verde or Cabo Verde
◦ 6. Ivory Coast/Côte d’Ivoire
Anyone travelling to any of the countries listed above is advised to travel with the Ecowas Passport instead of the travel certificate.
Also, check if there are other travel requirements or required documents you need to provide before you travel.
