The newly elected president of The Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria and CEO Remlords Group, Nkereuwem Onung, has commended the effort of the Cross River State Governor, Senator Ben Ayade for the establishment of the Cally Air.
Mr Nkereuwem congratulated the governor for bringing the project to a reality. The Chief Executive Officer of Remlords believed that handing over the aircraft to be managed by Aero Contractor’s Company Ltd is the right step in the right direction. He also noted that the airline would help to promote Calabar as a tourist destination.
Yesterday, the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria president used the Cally Air aircraft from Calabar to Abuja. He calls everyone to support the Cross River state government as he offers a prayer of grace to the state.
Yesterday I travelled to Abuja from Calabar with Callyair. I congratulate the Executive Gov. of Cross River State, Senator Ben Ayade for making this happen. Though managed by Aero, I believe the state will get it right. This service will promote competitiveness, create variety for travellers and open up Destination Calabar. Let’s encourage the state for the grace to begin and wish them the grace to continue. Congratulations CRS.👍
Cally Air is a Cross River state government airline that is managed by Aero Contractor’s Company Ltd. The Cross River state acquired two aircraft for this venture. Aero Contractors has already started operating the aircraft to Calabar and other parts of the country.
Cally Air is the second state-owned airline in Nigeria. The first state-owned airline in Nigeria is Ibom Air. Ibom Air is a standalone airline managed by the Akwa Ibom state government, unlike Cally Air.
Cally Air will be managed by Aero Contractor’s Company Ltd until when the airline receives its AOC and other relevant certificates from the aviation authorities.
