To Air Peace, more aircraft means more routes. Air Peace is dotting all the I’s and crossing the t’s in their preparation to enter the European countries like London and other African destinations like Douala (Cameroon), Kinshasa (Congo), Niamey (Niger), Dakar (Senegal) and Monrovia (Liberia).
Air Peace CEO, Allen Onyema, disclosed this on Thursday during the welcome ceremony of the airline 3rd of the 13 Embraer 195-E2 aircraft they ordered from Embraer Aircraft Manufacturing Company.
Onyema said the federal government of Nigeria has assigned over 20 destinations to the airline. He also mentioned that the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) is assisting them to accelerate the process of starting its Lagos – London Route.
Allen Onyema noted that the new aircraft will be deployed to other African countries like Douala (Cameroon), Kinshasa (Congo), Niamey (Niger), Dakar (Senegal) and Monrovia (Liberia).
“We have been designated to so many destinations by the government. We have over 20 destinations, which is very commendable.”
Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, captain Musa Nuhu in his speech during the Embraer 195-E2 aircraft delivery ceremony, applauded Air Peace for bringing the “paradigm shift” in Nigeria’s air transport industry.
NCAA, DG Musa Nuhu, commended air peace for bringing the right aircraft that suit the Nigerian travel market.
Captain Nuhu said: “Today is another milestone and a paradigm shift and this is something that I have not seen since my days at Nigerian Airways when they were purchasing the right aircraft for the right routes. Air Peace is not only buying aircraft but buying the right size aircraft for the Nigerian market.
Recall that in 2019, air peace ordered 13 brand new Embraer 195-E2 aircraft from Embraer Aircraft Manufacturing Company. 3 out of the 13 ordered has been delivered by the aircraft manufacturers. Air peace is expected to receive all 13 aircraft before the end of 2022.
