Press Release By World Agrotourism Organization Inaugurated By The Presidency, Office Of The Secretary To The Government Of The Federation
WORLD AGRITOURISM ORGANISATION (WAO) at its headquarters in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory responded to an official invitation from the Permanent Secretary Political and Economic Affairs Office through the Director of Public Affairs & Bilateral Relations of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
WAO through its President, Ambassador Architect Trust Henry Ogboi, on 17th October 2023 presented his speech on the topic: “Establishment of Nigerian Agritourism Agency as a Legacy for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu” at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Department of Political and Economic Affairs.
The speech centres around briefing on the Establishment of the Nigerian Agritourism Agency, Agritourism Potentials in Nigeria, Testimonies of Nigeria Agritourism, and Nigerian Agritourism Master Plan and Prototype design.
The speech calls the attention of all stakeholders to the fact that WAO has officially secured 200 hectares of land in Ibadan, Oyo State. Oyo State groundbreaking and foundation laying was done on Tuesday 16th July, 2023. It also pinpoints another factual development of securing 300 Hectares of land in Delta State and another 300 hectares of land in Edo State.

The Permanent Secretary, Department of Political and Economic Affairs, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation commended the World Agritourism Organization on its achievements and future vision that will global tourism to Nigeria. She also commended the Bangladesh High Commission to Nigeria, the Burundi Embassy in Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, and the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service.
In her last official notes, she gave WAO the assurances of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on working toward a legitimate agenda that boosts our food security in the Country. The Director of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security made strong promises to work with all stakeholders to achieve the present and future national mission of the World Agritourism Organization.
