Starting May 27, 2024, the Abuja Light Rail will be free for two months, announced Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
Wike shared this news during the Ministerial Sectoral Update, celebrating President Bola Tinubu’s first year in office, at Radio House in Abuja on Thursday.
President Bola Tinubu will officially launch the Metro rail project for commercial use on Monday. Residents are encouraged to start using the metro from Tuesday, May 28. The free rides aim to make commuting easier, with the possibility of extending the free period up to six months.
