Spread the love

I just remembered how I was begging a bus driver to stop anywhere so that I can pee because I was seriously pressed. The funniest thing was I could not figure out what I ate that turned my stomach. I ate different kinds of food before the trip. After driving for few hours, the result started showing. You need to see how I was sweating under AC bus and I learnt my lessons in a hard way.

A world travel expert said she does not eat onboard the aeroplane because it is a major cause of jet lag. She can eat whatsoever thing she wants either before or after the trip. The truth of the matter is what you eat before a trip matters because it can play a huge role in determining how you feel throughout the journey.

As a first time traveller, it is important for you to mind the kind of things you eat before your trip to avoid ruining your travel experience. Below are the 6 different types of foods you should avoid if you are flying for the first time or frequent traveller.

Avoid Coffee

Coffee is a dehydrating food and it is advisable you avoid any food that contains dehydrating features. When you are aboard, take enough water to keep your body hydrated. When there is enough water in your body, it will reduce your chances of getting jet lag, especially on a long haul flight. When your body is dehydrated, it could lead to a headache and of course that will make you uncomfortable throughout the journey.

Avoid Beans

I don’t want to talk much here because you already know what I want to talk about. In the part of the world where I come from, the moment you see a friend cooking or buy beans we already know what follows next. Beans cause gas and it’s not just ordinary gas, the gas smell badly. Why don’t you save yourself such embarrassment? And also save the soul of the person sitting next to you. I am just imagining how I will feel if someone sitting close to me is releasing gas uncontrollably aboard. Definitely, I won’t endure it. I must speak up and my voice must be heard. lolz zzz

Avoid Alcohol

I have seen a countless number of pictures of people on the internet embarrassed by alcoholic drink. The other day two beautiful ladies found themselves in the toilet after clubbing. Whatsoever you are drinking, drink responsibly. Alcohol is capable of ruining your travel experience.

Avoid food that can cause Bloating

Bloating is when there is an increase in the abdominal area. Bloating can cause abdominal pain and there are foods that are responsible for bloating. Avoid foods like Cabbage, kale, broccoli, legumes, dairy, apple and salty foods. All the foods responsible for bloating can save you a trip to doctor’s office but they can expand your stomach too. As a first time travel, you need to avoid these foods to have a pleasant flying experience.

Eat Balanced diet

Fast food is not the best food for you as a traveller because fast foods do not digest easily. Fast foods cause stomach upset. Take your time and eat a balanced diet food.
